The Columbia Bugle’s Sunday Newsletter
Happy New Year! Hope you all had a wonderful time this Christmas season with your friends and family.
But 2023 is finally here, mercifully burying a very mediocre year for the Right in America.
So for this newsletter we’ve put together a brief list of some of the good and the bad of 2022.
We’ll be back to posting more on Twitter and our other social media accounts beginning Monday.
(Note: Since these newsletters are long, Substack has indicated they may get cut off a bit when receiving them by email. If that happens, you can always access the full newsletter directly on Substack.)
In addition to Twitter, you can also follow us on Truth Social, Gettr, and Gab.
The Bad
The GOP Midterm Disaster
Everyone, ourselves included, expected this to be a very solid victory for the GOP despite several lackluster candidates and poor messaging. But 2022 was almost a complete disaster for the GOP. Not only did the GOP fail to take the Senate, but they BARELY took control of the House. Additionally, several really solid America First candidates like Kari Lake, Blake Masters, Joe Kent and John Gibbs all lost. Arizona in particular was a massive disappointment and hopefully a wake up call for the Right to get more involved in fighting for election integrity and rethinking our election tactics.
There are many takes on why 2022 was such a disaster, some good, some bad and some absolute trash (wahhhhhh it’s all Trump’s fault!!!). We won’t bore you with the bad and the trash takes, so here are a few good takes that we found to be very compelling.
Revolver News: The Election Post-Mortem
Republicans, in contrast, seem to be shell-shocked so badly by 2020 that they have talked themselves into a losing position. Whereas the Democrats identify all of the Dem-leaning voters in a state who are extremely unlikely to vote based on their past voting history and harangue or hand-hold them into voting by mail, the GOP does no such thing. These voters simply would not bother to vote under the old system, and by turning them out, the Democrats can completely flip around the polls.
Democrats have built an election machine that will churn out votes, no matter how bad a candidate is and how bad the country looks. To defeat this, Republicans have no choice but to build a machine of their own.
A successful GOP machine will also be better at the dirty work of clearing spoiler candidates from the field. It’s an open secret of politics that Democrats prop up the Libertarians, and the GOP props up the Green Party, for the sake of undermining their opponents. Well, in Arizona’s Senate race this year, there was a Libertarian in the race, but no Green candidate. A better Republican machine will avoid such hiccups in the future.
Ned Ryun’s Piece In American Greatness: A New Age of American Politics
After sifting through the rubble from election night, and having done some soul searching on my basic knowledge of politics, I’ve come to a few conclusions: American politics has entered a new age. All that has gone before—polls, historical trends, message, issues, candidate quality, traditional get-out-the-vote efforts, candidate debates, voter persuasion—means almost nothing and is extremely insignificant.
The thing—the only thing—that truly matters now is a “ballots out, ballots in” machine.
With that perfected, you could elect a random name in a phone book, or a dead man, or a vegetable. Or both a dead man and a vegetable, as Pennsylvania recently demonstrated.

Russia-Ukraine War
A conflict that means nothing to the American people, but everything to the Globalist American Empire. While the conflict has been hot and cold with neither side on the cusp of victory, it is important to look at the origins of this conflict.
Pedro Gonzalez’s Substack Piece: How The West Sowed The Seeds Of War In Ukraine
The presence of high-end military matériel in the Donbas and Ukraine’s cocksure intransigence suggested that it felt confident the United States and NATO would have their back in the event of a war. Why did they did make that bet? Because our leaders sold them a lie that they were eager to buy. As Asian Times columnist David P. Goldman wrote, “Putin proposed Minsk II, which kept Ukraine sovereignty. Berlin and Paris backed it, but they couldn’t persuade Washington to get on board.”
The “establishment’s Manichean narrative” only serves the interests of the same liberal interventionists who made this war inevitable—imbeciles and ideologues like Graham and Nuland and all the rest. Ending it without confronting them would mean treating symptoms but not the cause.
If the first casualty in war is truth, then all the rest are those from whom the truth is kept.
John Mearsheimer’s Lecture: Why Is Ukraine The West's Fault?
Billions To The Beggar King Of Ukraine
The shilling for Ukraine on both sides in Congress has easily been one of the worst things to watch in 2022. Some Republicans have wised up and ditched the Ukraine Flag and promised to MAYBE slow down and audit the aid, but for the most part it’s been nothing but America Last from both sides. They’ve shown more interest in protecting Zelensky and his borders than the American People and our borders.
Tucker summed it up best in these two segments:
Pedro Gonzalez’s Piece In IM-1776 On Zelensky’s Corruption: Servant Of The Corrupt
Of more than 300 politicians and public officials, including several current and former national leaders, in more than 91 countries and territories to whom the documents were linked, Ukraine was home to more secret offshore holdings than any other, including Russia. The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), which contributed to the investigation, found that just before Zelensky was elected president, “he gifted his stake in a key offshore company, the British Virgin Islands-registered Maltex Multicapital Corp., to his business partner — soon to be his top presidential aide. And in spite of giving up his shares, the documents show that an arrangement was soon made that would allow the offshore to keep paying dividends to a company that now belongs to his wife.”
Revolver News Piece: Why Funding Ukraine Is Just Dead Wrong
As far as Americans are concerned, that is the only major outcome of America financing the war. Americans are paying billions of dollars to marginally increase the chances that they and all of their family members die horribly in a nuclear war. That’s it. This military aid isn’t encouraging a peace deal; in fact, U.S. aid has hardened the resolve of both countries and pushed them further away from the negotiating table. This aid isn’t saving Ukrainian lives. Rather, by allowing the war to go on indefinitely, it simply ensures that more will be killed.

Something to think about.
The Biden Border Crisis Continues
Operation Replace Americans closed out strong for the Biden Regime.
On top of the Biden Administration’s commitment to destroying our borders, there has been the weak response by GOP Governors to quell this crisis and declare an invasion. They’d rather do pathetic publicity stunts where they just move around invaders all over America instead of doing anything bold.
For over a year GOP Governors like Greg Abbott have done little to nothing to stop this invasion.
January 6th Committee Hearings And The Regime’s War On Trump And His Supporters
The Regime’s Purging Of MAGA has not stopped and will not stop. Their goal is Zero MAGA. The movement that sent Donald Trump to the White House in 2016 must be permanently crushed. They will use the Government, Wall Street, the Media and Big Tech (more on that later) in order to achieve this goal. And just like with their insane Zero Covid policies, American civil liberties and our Constitution will not deter them. They see you as a plague, one that threatens to destroy their reign of managed decline. Make America Great Again is a call to reverse all of that and usher in American Renewal. That is why they see the MAGA Movement as an existential threat.
Here are a few examples:

The Good
Trump 2024
Despite all the persecution and the raid on his home, President Donald J. Trump, the leader of the America First MAGA Movement, announced a month ago that he will be running for President again in 2024.
Here is a link to his full announcement speech.
In order to make America Great And Glorious Again I am tonight announcing my candidacy for President of the United States.
While this may be disappointing to those in Con Inc. who want to move on from Trump or “Trumpism,” President Trump remains the leader of this movement until someone shows the courage and boldness that propelled Trump to the Presidency in the first place.
Darren Beattie summed this up perfectly in an interview he did with IM-1776.
Mark Granza: As Auron MacIntyre recently said to me, “I’d rather have 10 Governor DeSantis rather than 1 President DeSantis.”
Darren Beattie: Absolutely… And again, to some degree, much of this attitude is adjacent to the problem of “quietly infiltrating the elites.” This desire for “Trumpism after Trump” is just a product of people’s constitutional weakness and inability to accept the pain boxes associated with actually challenging the system. They think that if we’d only keep the policies and communicate them in a nicer way, then maybe they wouldn’t be canceled, or have the FBI knocking down on their door, or be called a “racist”. I really think that’s a significant part of this impulse. And to the extent that that’s true, it’s a fool’s errand, because it makes you think you can challenge the Regime without paying the price. But there’s no getting around the pain box. If you’re challenging the Regime, you are going to face the storm.
Elon Musk Acquires Twitter
It took awhile, but Elon finally did it. Elon Musk is now the owner of Twitter.
It’s still early, but so far things have gone better than we expected. Trump reinstated, many other Right Wing voices reinstated, the Twitter Files and a purge of the many the pro-censorship employees at Twitter.
There’s still a lot of people to free, many employees to be purged and more about the nature of the previous Twitter Regime that must be exposed, but a very very solid start.

The Intercept: Truth Cops
The Department of Homeland Security is quietly broadening its efforts to curb speech it considers dangerous, an investigation by The Intercept has found. Years of internal DHS memos, emails, and documents — obtained via leaks and an ongoing lawsuit, as well as public documents — illustrate an expansive effort by the agency to influence tech platforms.
Big Tech is filled with “former” Deep State agents.

Elon’s Reinstatement Of Donald Trump
Elon did it. He brought back the King of Twitter.
Elon went even further and exposed in the Twitter Files what the decision making process was inside Twitter to ban the President.

Roe V. Wade Gone
2022 finally brought about a massive victory for the Pro-Life Movement with the overturning of Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey. In a Supreme Court Opinion authored by Justice Samuel Alito, the Supreme Court ruled that the Constitution does not confer a right to have an abortion.
We end this opinion where we began. Abortion presents a profound moral question. The Constitution does not prohibit the citizens of each State from regulating or prohibiting abortion. Roe and Casey arrogated that authority. We now overrule those decisions and return that authority to the people and their elected representatives.
And it couldn’t have happened without President Donald Trump.
Justice Thomas and the three Trump appointed Justices Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barrett all joined Justice Alito in this historic decision.
But this victory was not without its speed bumps. In May, a leak of the draft opinion was given to Politico sparking protests and leading to threats against the lives of the Conservative Justices by the Left. But in the end the Justices were not deterred and continued on with their overturning of Roe and Casey.
Thank God!
Speaker Pelosi, Liz Cheney And Adam Kinzinger Gone
Good riddance. We may not have gotten the results we wanted in the 2022 elections, but it is absolutely worth celebrating the end of Pelosi’s reign and the purging of America Last Losers like Cheney and Kinzinger from the GOP.
Our Newsletter from August on Liz Cheney’s humiliating defeat.
Thanks for the laughs Kiev Kinzinger!
Senator J.D. Vance
J.D. Vance’s victory was one of the few bright spots from the 2022 Midterms. Vance is a rock solid America First Conservative who has taken bold stances on Ukraine, Immigration, Anti-White Propaganda and putting American Workers First.
Here are some of his appearances on Tucker Carlson Tonight and the Ingraham Angle.
Interesting Reads Of The Year
Revolver News: The Battle of the Century: Here’s What Happens if Elon Musk Buys Twitter
The Globalist American Empire will never be brought down unless people like Elon Musk are ready to step up to the plate with genuinely bold, risky, and meaningful moves like buying and liberating Twitter.
But it will not be easy. It will be a war. Let the battle begin.
Samuel Finlay’s Piece In IM-1776: Kayfabe In Kiev
It is my hope that serious men with cooler heads can reason together and come to an understanding that can grant both sides an honorable peace. God knows that part of the world could use it. It’ll have to come from them though, because I cannot imagine any in power on our side with wisdom sufficient to foster such an accord. Those jackals are fit for nothing but the gallows. Regardless, for those in the contested areas, it is my prayer that this ends soon and with as little blood spilled as possible. However, it ain’t my war. My war is here.
Pedro Gonzalez’s Report For The American Principles Project: The Transgender Leviathan
Turning the tide will require more than legislation and investigations. It will require a total approach to regain control of institutions big and small, from governors’ offices to school boards and local libraries, to wrest the levers of bureaucracy and power from dangerous hands. Above all, it will necessitate an alternative vision of a country and a culture capable of fostering life and the will to prosecute it.
Katherine Dee’s Substack Piece: Mass Shootings and the World Liberalism Made
Do you know why this is happening, America? It’s not the prevalence of guns. There have always been guns. Nor is it the dearth of guns. Paradoxically, either restricting access to firearms or making sure more teachers have them might do some good, but neither addresses the real reason for taking those steps in the first place.
The real reason for our mass shootings—hear me out—is that we have a nihilism problem.
Glenn Greenwald’s Substack Piece: The Neoliberal War On Dissent In The West
This new escalation of repression depends upon a narrative framework. Those who harbor dissenting ideologies — and particularly those who do not embrace that dissent passively but instead take action to advocate, promote and spread it — are not merely dissenters. The term "dissent,” in Western democracies, connotes legitimacy, so that label must be denied them. They are instead domestic extremists, domestic terrorists, seditionists, traitors, insurrections. Applying terms of criminality renders justifiable any subsequent acts of repression: we are trained to accept that core liberties are forfeited upon the commission of crimes.
Auron MacIntyre’s Total State Series On Substack: Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4
In a democracy power is never secure, it is always up for grabs. Those who have it must maintain it by keeping a careful grasp on the reins of information, the next struggle for power is only one news cycle away.
Josiah Lippincott Piece In The American Greatness: The Brilliance of Trump’s 2015 Announcement Speech, Seven Years Later
Trump threatened to kill the liberal golden goose—to stop the shakedown of the white middle class.
That’s why they hate him. It is why they have pulled out all the stops trying to get rid of him. It is why they hunt down his supporters and slander his backers.
